Frequently asked questions
What visitors and travel planners ask us before they book: who licenses us, who guides the days, which languages we work in, what party sizes we take, what a cancellation costs, whether you need travel insurance, and what happens after you send an enquiry.
Licence, guides and what happens next.
If your question is not here, ask it. A written reply comes back within 24 hours, in your language.
Yes. Elite Experiences Pte Ltd holds Travel Agent Licence No. TA04089, issued by the Singapore Tourism Board, and every guide on our roster is individually STB-licensed. You do not have to take our word for it: search TA04089 on STB's TRUST registry, the public licensing system for Singapore travel agents and tourist guides, and the licence comes up under our registered name.
A licensed Singapore guide, with the party each day. Every guide on our roster is STB-licensed and works in the language you booked. Elite Experiences was founded by Kyoko, who still guides in Singapore herself and briefs the guide for every party — down to which kopitiam, which uncle, which afternoon.
English, Spanish, French and Japanese. We talk to you in your language, write the itinerary in your language and brief your guide in your language, and the reply comes back in the same one. For an international group we can double up the written side — menus, signage and the guide's brief in two languages — and other languages can be arranged with notice.
You get a written reply within 24 hours, in your language, from the person who will own your booking. A written quote follows, line by line. Nothing is confirmed until you have agreed it in writing: bookings, changes and quotes are all handled in writing, under Singapore law.
A private day takes 1–8 guests. A group itinerary runs 6–16 guests over 3–7 nights, and an event scales from 10 to 200+. Past roughly forty guests we divide the party into hosted groups, each given its own guide and vehicle, so the numbers never cost you the attention.
A private day is written around your dates, your pace and your interests, and nobody else is on the booking. A group itinerary sizes the same plan for six to sixteen guests travelling together, on one written plan and in one vehicle. Choose private if the day should adjust around your party as it goes; choose the group itinerary if travelling together on one shared plan suits you better.
For the five packaged private tours, yes: each page publishes its price in SGD with GST included, and the calculator on the page totals your own party before you send anything. Every bespoke itinerary is quoted line by line instead, because no two are written the same way.
Yes. Whoever answers your first enquiry is the same person who sees you onto your last transfer; your file is never passed to a colleague and there is no ticket queue to join. You will have their WhatsApp number for anything urgent while you are here, and everything that matters still arrives in writing.
It depends how much notice we get. On a private day tour: 14 days or more and everything you have paid is returned, 7 to 13 days the deposit is kept, 3 to 6 days half the total, and inside 72 hours the whole of it. Bespoke programmes and events run on a longer scale that opens at 45 days. Money is sent back the way it came, within 14 business days.
We strongly recommend it — trip cancellation, medical cover and personal belongings at minimum — but it is not a condition of booking and we never ask to see it. We neither sell nor arrange insurance and earn nothing from it, so choose your own insurer. If we cancel for a reason within our control, you pick a full refund or another date at the same price, and an event beyond anyone’s control follows the published booking terms; insurance is there for the flights and hotels you booked around us.
